Outdoor Science School Job Opportunities
Instructor Live your passion! Wake up every morning to the fresh scent of pine trees, a crisp chill in the air, and the opportunity to make thousands of new friends during the school year. As an Instructor, you will be both a counselor and teacher to fifth and sixth grade students at a residential Outdoor Science School. Live and work at one of five sites in the local San Bernardino mountains. Besides supervising students, you will lead star walks and night hikes, lead songs and games, and teach academic trails on life sciences, geology, and environmental studies. You will live on site from 10:00 a.m. Monday to 11:00 a.m. Friday, with varying time off throughout the week. Room and board is provided during the work-week. Earn up to $392 per five day week to start. A medical benefits package is also included.
If you are energetic, flexible and creative and enjoy working with children in the outdoors, then this position is ideal. Teaching experience and science knowledge is desirable, but not necessary.
