Chino Hills State Park (3rd Grade) - 2 Locations!

Located at Discovery Center in Brea or Rolling M in Chino Hills, students will explore the riparian ecosystem and learn about the local watershed, plants and animals.

3-LS3-1., 3-LS4-3.

Water Testing 
While working in teams, students will conduct experiments to determine water quality.  Based on their experiments they will determine if animals could survive in this ecosystem. 
Students will participate in a scavenger hunt to learn about the tools used by local Native Americans, ranchers and farmers.
Students will learn how pollution and water flows through the watershed. 
Discovery Center (Brea Program Only)
Students will have the opportunity to explore the Discovery Center and learn about the habitats of Chino Hills State Park.
Live Animals (Rolling M Program Only)
Students see and touch live program animals representative of those found in local watershed and learn how their adaptations enable them to survive.

Time: 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
