Outdoor Science School

Inside the Outdoors Grants

From Science to Stewardship
Funding Source: The Boeing Company
Inside the Outdoors received a grant from Boeing to help fund extended learning opportunities for teachers and students. This grant will cover partial or full student fees for either a Traveling Scientist, Field Trip or Outdoor Science School Program. To be eligible for this grant, teachers must participate in a 2 hour Simple Science or Service Learning Workshop that will be offered during the school week on various dates and locations.

Fifth and Sixth Grade Teachers
These grades are eligible to apply for a grant of $21.00 per student towards a week long Outdoor Science School program. Our Outdoor Science School programs range in price from $285 to $360, depending on the length of your program and the time of year. The school is responsible for the difference in the cost of the trip and transportation.

Project Zero Waste OC

Grant Requirements:
  • Attend a Field Trip or Outdoor Science School Program

  • Complete two Service Learning Lead visits to your school
  • Present your Service Learning Project to the local community at a Science Night, Open House, Get Outdoors! Event or other similar event
